The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in and lead engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities.

This specific position will focus on :

• Design and construction activities, including project delivery methods such as traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build
• Designing HVAC and plumbing systems for primarily HyperScale and Colocation Data Center design associated with administrative and support spaces
• Supporting additional areas such as Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance, Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear, Pump Areas, Engine Generator, Blowers / Air Compressors, and Flammable & Combustible Liquids Storage
• Conducting Data Center airflow CFD modeling for interior and exterior spaces
• Conducting energy audit / efficiency studies, code review / application, and sustainable design / LEED application of sustainable strategies
• Developing engineering skills while working on challenging projects

The Team

The Mechanical Buildings Design Group provides HVAC and plumbing solutions for Black & Veatch’s 3 market sectors - Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Technology, Commercial, & Industrial. Our overall team supports projects across the globe. Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in Engineering work. Minimum of 5 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any / all of the following : criminal / civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.

Certifications
