What Youll Do
As the Weapon Program Lead the candidate will be responsible for managing complex multi-discipline engineering issues as assigned. They will be the Technical Engineering System Design and Process point of contact for the program. The Weapon Program Lead makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive technical activities. Typically has demonstrated creativity foresight and mature technical judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented technical problems. The Technical Lead performs work at a high level requiring advanced understanding and application of technical principles theories and concepts in the engineering field.
In addition the Weapon Program Lead will be responsible for :
This includes data analysis on information collected during the process and other indicators that could help inform changes to increase productivity (downtime metrics reject / replace metrics cycle time metrics etc)
This includes the Design Agency and other Production Agencies
Minimum Job Requirements
Beyond four years from graduation engineering experience will supersede GPA as a requirement for hire
Department of Energy (DOE) Order 426.2A Requirements
In addition to the above requirements the applicant must also meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (i.e. Baccalaureate in engineering or related science 2 years job-related and at least 1 year nuclear experience or a DOE O 426.2A alternative). DOE O 426.2A experience requirements can be satisfied following the interim newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. (Ref. DOE O 426.2A)

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph pursuant to 10 CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
