As a Dental Hygienist, you will :

• Screen and assess patients, evaluate the medical / dental history.
• Maintain and review patient’s records, charts, and other pertinent information.
• Provide preventative oral health services as directed by dentist on staff.
• Provide patient education, teaches patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health and prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
• Counsel patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health.
• Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Provide monitoring and continuity of care between clinic visits as required.
• Assists in the sterilization and sharpening of instruments as assigned following infection control guidelines.
