Final Assembly Operator

Job Description

Essential Duties Include:
* Inspect products to verify conformance to customer specifications.
* Complete Progress report -- identify the job and the starting time
* Review the Work Order for special instructions
* Assure the set-up is correct for the job
* Assure the station layout, tags and labels are appropriate for the job
* Complete Sign-Off check list and have it signed by the appropriate person
* Inspect parts -- assure patents and margins are correct with no blotches
* Perform hand manipulation when required -- peeling waste off the part
* Rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies.
* Set and verify parts clearances.
* Verify conformance of parts using measuring instruments such as punch box or templates.
* Cut trim parts for assembly.
* Examine completed workpieces for defects such as chipped edges and marred surfaces.
* Set up, operate, or tend machines to slit or punch material.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma
* Manufacturing experience is preferred.
Physical Demands:
* This position involves sitting for long periods of time.
* Lifting capability of up to 25-50 lbs.
* Constant upper body movement, including use of arms and hands, bending and twisting.
