As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government PT in Leesburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a member of the Allied Universal team serving a government location, you will perform armed patrols and monitor assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. In this dynamic environment, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This position requires an armed guard card or license. You will be part of a dedicated team that values reliability, agility, and innovation, while working together with integrity and a people-first approach to create a secure environment for everyone on site.

Pay Rate : $20.90 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeFri09 : 15 AM - 05 : 15 PMSat09 : 15 AM - 05 : 15 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to control access and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities, incidents, and any irregularities observed during patrols and / or assigned duties.
  • Support law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents at the location.
  • Remain prepared to respond to any security-related threats or emergencies while carrying a firearm, in accordance with applicable laws and site policies.
  • Interact with the public, employees, and visitors to provide assistance and information as required.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and / or military roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
