Medical Surgical CNA

Overview

We are seeking aMedical Surgical CNA,also referredtoCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA)or Med-Surg CNA.A Med Surg CNA willassistwith patient care by supporting daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs whilemonitoring forany changes. Additionally, the Med SurgCNA,will help nurses bymaintainingsupplies,assistingwith wound care, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

Shift’s Available: Nights

Employment Type: Part Time

Hours: 7:00pm to 7:00am

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Assistpatients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to preventskin breakdown, you may also feed patients who needassistanceandmonitorintake/output
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration),observeand report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN
• Stock andmaintainsupplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe
• Assistin transporting patients within the hospital

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician?s office preferred.
• Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement.
