Key Responsibilities

• Proposal Development

Review project scopes, drawings, and specifications.

Prepare accurate proposals, labor estimates, and bill of materials.

Select appropriate controls, sensors, and equipment.

Purchase materials / equipment and manage delivery schedules.

Maintain awareness of vendor pricing and alternatives.

Oversee inventory of controls equipment and common materials.

Prepare and submit shop drawings, submittals, and O&M manuals.

Plan and manage multiple BAS projects from award to closeout.

Develop project schedules and ensure deadlines are met.

Coordinate project labor internally and with subcontractors.

Manage subcontractors for installation, programming, and commissioning.

Work with field technicians to ensure proper installation and startup.

Provide troubleshooting and technical support as needed.

Ensure system testing, balancing, commissioning, and documentation are complete.

Conduct final walkthroughs and training for clients.

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

Experience in Building Automation Systems (controls installation, programming, or project coordination).

Familiarity with HVAC systems and integration with BAS.

Strong project management skills scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination.

Ability to read construction documents (plans, specs, risers, wiring diagrams).

Proficiency with MS Office, project management tools, and basic estimating software.

Excellent communication skills for working with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Career Growth

Initial role is focused on execution : proposals, purchasing, project management, and subcontractor coordination.

Take on responsibility for division P&L oversight .

Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the BAS division.

Build and mentor a team of BAS technicians and project engineers.

Eventually transition into BAS Division Manager role.
