[job_card.job_description]Minimum 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment Proficient in safe forklift operation and warehouse safety practices Experience using RF scanners and basic warehouse management systems (WMS) Ability to interpret work orders, labels, and product identification numbers Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Physical ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods Work is performed indoors in a warehouse environment Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching Ability to lift and move products weighing between 10-50 lbs regularly Repetitive hand movements and fine motor coordination required Use of standard warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Position : Forklift Operator First Tactical
Reports To : Inbound Manager
FLSA Status : Full-Time, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY : This role is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, stack, and organize products and materials throughout the warehouse. The Forklift Operator plays a key role in receiving, storing, and shipping inventory while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to safely load, unload, move, and stack products
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory to maximize space and efficiency
- Accurately follow work orders and instructions for storage or delivery
- Use RF scanners and inventory systems to track product movement and stock levels
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and other inventory control activities
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Work collaboratively with warehouse team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
