Responsibilities
Summary :
The Location IS Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating Information Systems operations for assigned manufacturing facilities. This role oversees the local IT team and ensures the delivery of reliable, secure, and efficient technology services supporting production, engineering, and administrative functions.
The IS Manager focuses on infrastructure management, operational reliability, compliance, cybersecurity, and user support-driving continuous improvement and alignment with corporate IT strategies. While this role collaborates with the broader organization on enterprise systems, primary responsibility for ERP management resides with a separate dedicated team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Leadership and Oversight
Manage day-to-day IT operations for the location(s), ensuring high system availability, minimal production downtime, and effective prioritization of service requests and projects.
Supervise, mentor, and develop IS team members, including performance management, training, and workload balancing.
Partner with plant and business unit leadership to understand operational priorities and translate them into actionable IS objectives.
Infrastructure and Operations Management
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and performance of local infrastructure-including servers, networks, end-user devices, process control systems, and communication systems.
Ensure that backup, restoration, and disaster recovery procedures are in place, tested, and compliant with company standards.
Lead initiatives to modernize and optimize local IT infrastructure, including hardware refresh cycles and security patch management.
Compliance, Security, and Governance
Ensure compliance with corporate, business unit, and audit requirements, including ITAR and cybersecurity policies.
Maintain secure environments by managing access controls, patching, and data protection in alignment with global IS standards.
Support and enforce change management, data governance, and IT documentation policies.
Project and Vendor Management
Plan and execute local IS projects aligned with company strategy and business needs.
Coordinate with regional and global IT teams to implement company-wide initiatives.
Negotiate and manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and technical services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Process Control and Manufacturing Support
Support and maintain the process control and automation infrastructure that interfaces with manufacturing systems.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure technology stability in production environments.
Communication and Collaboration
Serve as the primary IS contact for the facility, facilitating effective communication between business leaders, corporate IT, and external providers.
Promote the strategic direction of the organization by aligning local initiatives with broader IT and business goals.
Participate in local leadership and staff meetings to align technology priorities with operational objectives.
Other Responsibilities
Maintain familiarity with new technology trends and evaluate opportunities for improvement.
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay
$100,000 - $135,000 / year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
