Brief Description of Position :

A Maintenance Tech is responsible for in-house maintenance of facilities

Principal Responsibilities :

General building and equipment repairs and preventative maintenance

Light carpentry, painting

Electrical repair and modifications

Responsible for HVAC : heating, ventilation, air conditioning

Ensure all refrigerated units are operational at all time

Ensure all department Logs are properly maintained

Miscellaneous maintenance duties deemed necessary by management.

Education and Experience :

2 years experience in facility maintenance

Two (2) certifications (not licenses) in work related areas : plumbing, HVAC, electrical, boilers, welding, and / or

carpentry desired

Full compliance with all work rules

Safe work record, practice safe work habits, following Standard Operating Procedures

An excellent attendance record and no EPR for the past 6 months.

Flexibility - able to react to changing priorities

Ability to read, write and speak English effectively

Must be able to use fingers / hands to handle equipment and tools

Must be able to lift and push 50+ lbs.

Must be able to stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.

Must be able to work in small spaces and climb ladders

Must be able to obtain Sida Airport Badge

Must be able to drive up to a 24 foot cargo truck.

Compensation details : 23.9-24.9 Hourly Wage
