About the Position

LocumJobsNetwork is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Family Practice PA in Oregon!

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a solo, rural locum tenens assignment in Oregon. This 120-day opportunity begins on Oct 27, 2025, with day shifts Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm. The role involves caring for a diverse, primarily non-English-speaking patient population in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) setting, and is ideal for candidates with a proven background serving rural communities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive primary care as a solo provider in a rural FQHC
  • Deliver care to complex patient demographics, including those who do not primarily speak English
  • Manage a broad range of acute and chronic health conditions across the lifespan
  • Utilize Epic as the EMR system for all patient documentation
  • Ensure high standards of patient safety and quality of care
  • Participate in shadowing and onboarding activities while credentialing and insurance enrollment are in process
  • Demonstrate prior experience in rural health settings as requested by the client

    • Additional Information

  • Minimum 5 years of primary care experience required
  • Must have active Oregon licensure with no pending malpractice cases
  • Prior rural health experience is strongly preferred and should be highlighted in your application
  • Ability to work independently as the sole provider in a rural environment
