ANNOUNCES OPENINGS FOR
School Psychologist Interns
6 hours per day/5 days per week
August 2026 - June 2027
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of a credentialed school psychologist, the intern will assess and complete psychoeducational evaluations so as facilitate the development of effective educational programs designs to meet individual student needs.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple cases concurrently
-Ability to develop and maintain positive rapport with students, parents, staff and to interact effectively with a variety of audiences
-Actively participate in assigned site team meetings
-Through use of techniques and resources utilized in assessing, evaluation, and diagnosing conduct psychoeducational assessments of referred pupils, identify student needs, and recommend supportive services
-Consult with school personnel regarding children with emotional and behavioral issues and assist teachers in using the principles of behavior management and other useful techniques in the classroom
-Provide assistance to support teams in writing a student's Individual Education Plan
-Provide consultation and assistance to teachers regarding attainment of IEP goals
-Prepare written and oral reports providing detailed analysis of pupils' psychological and behavioral challenges
-Assess the counseling needs of identified special education pupils, develop and implement appropriate IEP counseling goals
-Provides crisis response, as needed
SALARY:
$10,000 per school year

Meet requirements for a psychologist internship through an accredited institution
