We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Brooklyn, New York. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in Linux-based systems and embedded engineering. You will play a key part in developing and supporting advanced software solutions while leveraging your expertise in C++, .NET, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Linux-based system development and deployment.
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for a variety of projects.
Utilize expertise in C++ and firmware development to create high-quality applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers and team members.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in Linux environments.
Apply knowledge of electronics and embedded system design to enhance performance and reliability.
Contribute to the development of innovative solutions using React.js and JavaScript.
Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards throughout the development process.
Support projects with a focus on financial industry requirements, if applicable.

Requirements

Extensive experience in software development with a focus on Linux-based systems.

Proficiency in C++ and firmware development.

Background in electronics or embedded engineering and design.

Strong knowledge of .NET framework and ASP.NET.

Hands-on experience with React.js and JavaScript.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.

Familiarity with financial industry software development is a plus.

Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
