Product Manager (Filmmaker)

Summary / objective

This role is the frontline connection between Angel Studios and our up and coming filmmaker community. You will follow up with all incoming filmmakers, guide them through the submission process for theatrical and streaming consideration, and ensure they feel supported every step of the way. You’ll develop and manage scalable toolsets and email drip campaigns that nurture relationships with filmmakers and proactively create outreach efforts to attract new creators to the platform.

When faced with roadblocks, mistakes or unforeseen circumstances, consistently and proactively find creative solutions and / or break down barriers to handle the challenge or complication. (Focus is on creating / building / testing / learning / resolution rather than getting stuck and identifying or placing blame).

Essential functions

Follow up with all incoming filmmaker leads, take care of them to assist them in submitting projects for theatrical and streaming consideration.

Develop email drip campaigns to nurture filmmakers.

Coordinate with sponsorship programs within Angel and ensure sponsorship resources get collected and delivered to filmmakers on set.

Proactively generate campaigns to engage new filmmakers.

Serve as a project manager for technical engineering needs for Chief Experience Officer.

Must attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings.

Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in the English language required. Additional language proficiency is a plus.

Experience with building software solutions with AI to make web applications that process orders, have a polished aesthetic, and store data in a retrieval system (database).

Preferred education and experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a business‑related field or equivalent.

AI coding experience.

Experience with the Angel Guild strongly preferred.

137,000 - $153,000 a year | Commensurate with experience and scope of responsibility.
