Accounts PayableCash Application Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application & A / P Specialist to support our finance operations.

This role is responsible for accurately applying customer payments to accounts maintaining up-to-date receivable records and processing vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate will ensure all transactions are recorded properly assist with resolving payment discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams to support smooth financial workflows. Shift time is flexible with either a 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm or 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm

Key Responsibilities :

Apply customer payments to the correct accounts and invoices.

Reconcile cash receipts and identify discrepancies in payment information.

Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance.

Prepare and execute timely A / P payments while maintaining proper documentation.

Communicate with internal teams customers and vendors to resolve payment issues.

Maintain organized financial records and support month-end closing activities.

Education & Experience :

High School or GED

3-5 years accounts payable or accounting experience.

Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Working knowledge of cash applications payment reconciliation and general ledger concepts.

Familiarity with ERP / accounting systems and electronic payment platforms.

Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard office software.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers vendors and internal teams.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Problem-solving skills to research and resolve payment discrepancies.

Ability to process high-volume transactions with consistency and precision.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
