Inspector Advisors specializes in balcony inspections and compliance with California’s SB 721 and SB 326. We cater to homeowners, HOAs, and property managers, ensuring your property stays safe and compliant with our tailored expertise and software.

Job Overview :

We are seeking a motivated Junior or Intern inspector to assist in performing inspections and evaluation of exterior elevated elements (EEEs) such as balconies, decks, and stairways in multi-family residential buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for engineering students or similar to gain hands-on experience in field inspections, building codes, and construction assessments.

Key Deliverables and Requirements :

• Perform thorough inspections of balconies to identify any structural issues, damage, or safety hazards.
• Provide detailed reports on the condition of balconies and recommend any further actions required.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Manage and maintain tools and equipment necessary for balcony inspections.
• Schedule and manage your workload to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Conduct on-site inspections of balconies, exterior walkways, staircases, and other EEEs.
• Document conditions using photographs, field notes, and inspection checklists.
• Support the preparation of inspection reports, drawings, and recommendations.
• Coordinate site visits with property owners, managers, and senior inspectors.
• Maintain organized records of inspections and findings.
• Participate in training sessions and safety meetings.
• Manage and maintain tools and equipment necessary for balcony inspections.
• Schedule and manage your workload to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Proven experience as inspector, with specific experience in balcony inspections and repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Must have your own insurance coverage.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Must have the ability to use a smartphone to conduct business (Inspector-providor).
• Must be able to lift at most 50LBS for day-to-day tasks [if needed].
