Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Project Architect to join our Buildings + Places business line in Houston or Dallas Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead design efforts, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver innovative solutions for a diverse range of projects, including commercial, industrial, and municipal sectors. The ideal Project Architect IV candidate will bring a strong architectural background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for creating impactful spaces. This position requires a proven ability to manage complex projects, mentor junior staff, and ensure design excellence throughout all project phases. Buildings + Places has a vast market spread and geography, providing opportunities across a wide range of project typologies, including Science & Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Commercial, Aerospace, Higher Education, Industrial and Process, Transportation, Aviation, Sports and Federal market sectors across the western United States and beyond. Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

• Design Leadership : Spearhead the design process for projects across commercial, industrial, logistics, and interiors sectors, ensuring innovative and client-focused solutions.
• Project Coordination : Oversee all phases of project delivery, from conceptual design to construction administration, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaboration : Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders, to integrate architectural and technical solutions.
• Client Engagement : Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related communications.
• Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
• Technical Expertise : Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards, while maintaining a high level of technical accuracy in project documentation.

Additional Information

This position will not offer sponsorship now or in the future. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000.
