Lexington Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a motivated and compassionate Administrator in Training (AIT) to join our leadership team. This position is designed for individuals pursuing licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator and provides hands-on training in the daily operations of a skilled nursing facility.
Position Summary:
The AIT will work under the direct supervision of the Licensed Administrator and gain practical experience in all aspects of facility management, including regulatory compliance, resident care, staff leadership, and operational efficiency.
This is a non-paid Administrator in Training position designed to fulfill required state AIT supervised hours. We are looking for an individual with a flexible schedule that would be mainly required to work Wednesday-Sunday 3-11 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn and assist with day-to-day facility operations
Support compliance with state and federal regulations
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Assist with staff supervision, training, and scheduling
Collaborate with clinical, dietary, social services, and maintenance departments
Support resident and family relations to ensure high-quality care and satisfaction
Complete all required AIT program hours, projects, and documentation
AIT Program Requirements:
Must meet all state-specific requirements for enrollment in an Administrator in Training (AIT) program
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (required or in progress, per state guidelines)
Ability to complete the required number of supervised AIT hours within the designated timeframe
Willingness to adhere to all state licensing board rules and reporting requirements
Commitment to pursuing Nursing Home Administrator licensure upon completion of the AIT program
