We're seeking the right candidate for the position of
Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) Ward Clerk at
Our Lady of Wisdom Community Care Center. In this vital role, you'll ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care while collaborating with a dedicated team, providing exceptional clinical leadership and support.
What You Bring to the Table: Essential Qualifications:
The Ward Clerk shall work under the direction of and be responsible to the Director of Nursing Services and will be willing to work with people in a business manner to enhance the overall function of the facility.
• Coordinate and manage activities at the Nurses Station efficiently.
• Perform receptionist duties, including answering phone calls and greeting visitors.
• Execute general clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and faxing documents.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records and other essential paperwork.
• Utilize computer skills to input, update, and retrieve information from electronic systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
• Assist in scheduling appointments and managing patient admissions and discharges.
• Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in handling sensitive information.
• Other duties, as assigned.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Licensed Staff, Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.
RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate: - The CNA must hold a valid nurse aide certification with the State of Louisiana.
- Ability to organize, plan and supervise the care of residents.
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to demonstrate good emotional, mental, and physical health having sound judgment and high standards.
- Ability and willingness to provide emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.
- Ability and willingness to function as a cooperative team member with each member of the nursing department and other departments.
- Ability to provide related bedside resident care services as per facility policy and procedures.
- Ability to adapt to on-the-job training and adhere to standards of the facility providing personal care services, assisting residents, handling, and caring for equipment and supplies and developing good understanding of the basis of aseptic and sterile techniques.
Other QualificationsMust possess the following skills:- Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
- Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.
