Patient Safety Registered Nurse

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Salary: $29.54 - $47.26 / hour, commensurate with experience

This role is on-site and does not support remote or hybrid options.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of the Cancer Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety, mitigating risks, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Join us in fostering an exceptional patient experience!

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Conducting patient safety rounds and developing programs to enhance safety and accreditation adherence.
• Educating staff on patient safety initiatives and gathering data to recommend system improvements.
• Assisting in the reporting and analysis of risk management and patient outcomes related to safety.
• Coordinating investigations and conducting root cause analyses for adverse incidents.
• Demonstrating critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 3 years of relevant experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross (must have card prior to start date).
