We seek a highly motivated individual with experience in expert level Korean to English translations. A passion for gaming and fluency in both Korean and English are essential for this position. This is a full time, salaried position with competitive benefits. We are the publisher of the globally successful PC / Online MMORPG game Elsword We are located in Orange County, CA.

Cover Letter is required , and in it you must include the names of your 3 favorite games (across all platforms, past and present) and the name of 1 game you are currently playing. Please send both English and Korean versions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that Korean to English translations comply with cultural and industry norms : Review, standardization and application of documents for publication based on the needs of the business; ensuring that all work is accurate and in compliance with company standards
• Assure that projects have the necessary visibility and resources, and are integrated and scheduled into the overall product development process
• Create and maintain technical glossaries, terminology databases and style guidelines
• Provide support and input to internal departments, including education about the localization process, as required
• Collaborate with teams to create, implement and maintain appropriate procedures, solutions, checklists and instructions
• Assist with monitoring and maintenance (QA) of the applied translations within appointed projects
• Translate, edit and evaluate documents from Korean into English and vice versa
• Follow and execute the changing day-to-day operational needs of any and all appointed project(s)

Requirements

• Must have a strong passion for video games and linguistics
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English
• Excellent knowledge of fantasy, and / or science fiction worlds and games in both English and Korean
• Excellent knowledge of the US and Korean culture
• Must be willing to work extended hours at times
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Able to work independently
• Strong motivation and a high level of commitment
