Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, aligned with accepted standards and specific departmental needs. You will conduct diagnostic tests, provide therapeutic procedures, and monitor patients on both invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and document thorough patient assessments.
• Administer a variety of respiratory care therapies including oxygen and aerosol medication delivery.
• Assist with the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation needs.
• Monitor patient responses to therapies, ensuring timely intervention as necessary.
• Provide assistance in transporting ventilator-dependent patients.
• React promptly to emergency situations, ensuring airway integrity and proper ventilation during resuscitation efforts.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) credentials.
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent.
• Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
