IT Program Manager

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Release Manager for a hybrid (3 days onsite) position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and deploying software releases across various platforms and products. The successful candidate will work closely with development, quality assurance, project management, DevOps, and business operations teams to ensure timely and accurate implementation of defined deliverables without disruption to business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end release lifecycle, effectively communicating release objectives based on scope
• Organize and facilitate milestones, task lists, defect, and retrospective calls
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operation teams to plan release activities and deployment scope
• Work with delivery leads to ensure release artifacts adhere to company standards
• Coordinate delivery while managing risks and mitigating potential impact to upstream and downstream systems
• Provide end-to-end visibility to the health of deliverables
• Ensure execution and delivery meets expectations in terms of quality and timelines
• Facilitate sync points across multiple organizations to enable delivery

Requirements:

• Experience in a Release Manager or Change Manager role
• Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira
• Experience with BMC Remedy or ServiceNow
• Knowledge of release management tools such as CutOver or XLR tracker

Desired skills:

• Understand release and deployment components
• Understand risks and can implement controls necessary to mitigate
• Ability to facilitate team planning ceremonies against release milestones
• Ability to answer team questions on Agile/waterfall frameworks
• Ability to understand the big picture and connect all details
• Familiarity with tools such as Vanguard, PPRT Tool, JIRA Issue Collector, App HQ, TechADS, Teams, or MatterMost
