California Licensed Assistant Controller

A company is looking for an Assistant Controller to oversee general accounting functions and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the accuracy and compliance of financial statements and direct the monthly financial close process

Conduct financial analyses to improve organizational performance and manage budget preparation

Establish internal controls, mentor the accounting team, and facilitate external audits

Required Qualifications

BA / BS degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance

7+ years of progressive accounting experience in the cannabis or related industry

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle

Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments

Desire to learn SQL / BI for enhanced data analysis
