Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Test Engineer position for our client.

Location : Research Triangle Park, NC

Duration : Ongoing contract

Duties :

Collaborate within an Agile test team to uphold and enforce software testing best practices

Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases; identify, verify, and track defects through resolution

Develop and update test plans based on project and customer requirements

Estimate time and resources required for test environment setup, test creation, and execution

Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

Set up, configure, and maintain integrated test environments, including required hardware and software

Manage and track test equipment inventory; coordinate procurement as needed

Prioritize and manage multiple test activities to meet project timelines and deliverables

Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, coverage, and overall software quality

Communicate test progress, defect status, and delivery risks to internal teams and stakeholders

Attend client meetings, provide on-site support when required, and support successful software deployments

Skills :

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices

Manual testing expertise in Agile development environments

Ability to configure and troubleshoot hardware and software test environments

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly

Experience :

Proven experience executing software test methodologies in Agile environments

Experience supporting multiple projects or customer-driven deliverables concurrently

Experience communicating test status and issues to both technical and non-technical audiences

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science, or a related field

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
