Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join a leading architecture firm located in the New York City area. The Architect will be providing support to Project Managers on this large, complex project and must possess excellent communication skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff and Project Managers to develop design layouts and frameworks, including preparing construction drawings, details and specifications.
• Support project by translating decisions into actionable steps, tracking progress, and ensuring successful project execution.
• Produce technical design details, drawings and renderings that align with client needs.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing project documentation, specifications, takeoffs and calculations.
• Conduct studies of design details to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Research building codes, zoning regulations, and project requirements to ensure compliance and sustainability practices.
• Work with senior and junior staff, learning and sharing expertise.
• Participate in site visits to document and assess project conditions and ensure design accuracy.
• Capable to manage multiple tasks on different projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met through effective collaboration while needing minimal oversight.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field is required.
• 5+ years of relevant architecture experience with a focus on educational, civic, or hospitality projects.
• Prior experience working on a large architecture or design team.
• Proficiency in Revit, with capability AutoCAD.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Professional License is a plus.

**This position offers a hybrid working arrangement**

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000
