You Will:

  • Support daily operation and troubleshooting of electronic systems for the 88-Inch Cyclotron.
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and performance optimization on subsystems including high-voltage/high-power electronics, RF systems, digital and analog controls, and beam diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and technical staff on system upgrades and integration of new electronics.
  • Document circuit designs, schematics, test results, and system configurations.
  • Monitor system performance and provide regular updates to the cyclotron operations team.
  • Participate in design reviews, hazard analyses, and technical meetings to ensure quality and safety compliance.
  • Serve as a key contact for electrical safety compliance, supporting inspections, procedure reviews, and Electrical Safety Officer initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs to support operational continuity and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory of critical components and electronics to ensure availability for current and future projects.
  • Promote and adhere to LBNL's safety protocols, fostering a proactive culture of risk awareness and workplace safety.
