Senior Companion

At Volunteers in Action, we seek to inspire hope and cultivate community flourishing by loving our neighbors in the name of Jesus. We do this by equipping, connecting, and supporting individuals and churches to engage in relational service. Our Caring Connections program matches volunteers one-on-one with an older adult who needs a supportive friendship. A typical visit could involve a conversation over coffee, getting groceries, playing a game, or going for a walk. The commitment is one hour a week, and the most important thing is nurturing a meaningful relationship.
