Technical Designer

A fashion brand is seeking an experienced Technical Designer to support intimates and shapewear categories. This is a hands-on individual contributor role responsible for executing the technical design process from development through final fit while ensuring quality, consistency, and cost targets are met.

What You'll Do:

• Execute technical design from development through final approval

• Analyze garments and develop accurate fit specifications

• Lead or participate in fittings and write clear, actionable fit comments

• Communicate pattern corrections and approvals to vendors and factories

• Maintain tech packs, BOMs, and sample approvals

• Partner cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing

• Ensure products meet fit, quality, and manufacturing standards

What We're Looking For:

• 7+ years of Technical Design experience (intimates or apparel preferred)

• Strong ownership of fittings and fit communication

• Experience with Centric PLM, Flex PLM, Adobe Illustrator, and Excel

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experience

Additional Notes:

• Typically reports to Technical Services Manager

• May provide guidance to Assistant or Associate Technical Designers

• Onsite 5 days per week in Manhattan
