- Have the knowledge and ability to instruct students in educational areas to challenge and enrich student learning.
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
- Minimum of 19 years of age.
- Education, training and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: child development, teaching, counseling, social work, sociology, psychology, recreation, programming for youth.
- Create and instruct activities specific to the needs of students at the designated grade level(s) and in the designated content area(s)/subject(s).
- Previous successful work experience with young children.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and solve problems as a productive team member.
- Ability to use technology to communicate, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports correspondence, and/or financial information.
- Physical strength, mobility, dexterity, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities.
- Ability to be punctual and in attendance when scheduled.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.
