Summary of the Position:
The batch maker II measures and mixes ingredients repetitively for more than one process to a pre-set standard that in turn will create a high quality product. The person in this position assists supervisor with training batch makers I. The batch maker II cleans machines properly after production runs and maintains a clean work area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Measures and mixes ingredients repetitively for more than one process to a pre-set standard striving to exceed productivity, quality and safety standards. (55%)
- Performs pre-operational checks. (10%)
- Inspects product to ensure quality. (10%)
- Dumps product into hopper. (5%)
- Records production output on work order. (5%)
- Stacks boxes onto pallets. (5%)
- Cleans machine properly after runs including allergen clean-ups and maintains a clean work area. (5%)
- Assists supervisor with training batch makers I. (5%)
- Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
- Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
- Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
- Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
- Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications:
- Prior work experience
- Power rider certified required
- Able to follow work instructions
- Able to use a walker stacker
- Able to train employees on processes
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Basic math skills
- Able to read thermometers and measuring cups
