Credentialing Specialist (Remote)

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent record keeping for each insurance provider and insurance company.
• Lobby insurance companies for in-network group credentialing contracts at the highest rate possible.
• Lobby insurance for regular contract rate increases.
• Manage all the paperwork including electronic sites involved with credentialing providers.
• Liaison with medical providers to ensure they are submitting everything needed to successfully credential with providers.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
• Maintain current credentialing contracts up-to-date ensuring recertification if and when needed.
• Liaison with Clinical Administrator, Office Manager, regarding credentialing
• In addition to these general duties, an individual employer may request that you perform other duties that fit with your training and background experience or provide further training for new duties.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or advanced degree
• Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills and willingness to work well with others and collaborate well with others
• Ability to understand different mental health degree types and licensure levels such as MHC intern, MHC – LP, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, MSW, LMSW, LCSW, MFT, LMFT etc.
• Sales experience required.

Hours: 9-5, M-F
Pay rate: $24-$28/hour
