We have an opportunity for someone who genuinely understands the need to be patient, and courteous, and deliver superior customer service to each new caller and client who walks into our office.

The right candidate will become part of our Front Desk Reception Team, part time, Monday through Thursday, from 5pm to 8pm, in Naugatuck, CT.

This position is not eligible for benefits.

Who We Are

Stokes Counseling Services is a private counseling practice with offices in Naugatuck and Ansonia, CT. Our licensed clinicians provide telehealth, in-home, individual, family and couples counseling for adults and children. We are committed to creating a trusting, engaging and collaborative environment for clients and staff. We believe clients have the answers they need within themselves. We act as external guides, using a variety of tools to assist on their journey to living the life they desire.

What Will I Do?

Reporting to the Practice Manager, answer calls and provide support as needed for the on-site clinicians. Other duties include:

• Accept, process and document patient payments
• Verify patient information in appropriate system
• Scheduling new appointments
• Manage the waiting room
• Problem-solve incoming inquiries from clients and providers
• Light housekeeping so our space is always welcoming
• Filing, faxing, copying, etc.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be efficient with strong skills in organization, good problem solving and attention to detail
• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in customer service within behavioral health services is a plus.
• Strong computer skills, and experience with Google Workspace preferred
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to privacy of health information
• Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment

Hourly Rate & Schedule: $20.00/hour, 3 hour shift, 5pm to 8pm, Monday to Thursday (12 hours/week)

Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
