WHY BOX NEEDS YOU?

At Box, we’re looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers to join several of our backend teams. You’ll work on high‑scale, distributed systems tackling complex engineering challenges—from performance optimization and auto‑scaling microservices , to ensuring data integrity during large‑scale migrations and maintaining search indexing accuracy .

Your work will directly impact how thousands of enterprise customers manage their most critical business content every day.

WHAT YOU’LL DO :

• Develop new backend features focused on high scale and performance.
• Design and implement auto‑scaling solutions for microservices.
• Solve challenges related to distributed systems at scale.
• Measure system performance; identify bottlenecks; optimize accordingly.
• Build internal tools supporting testing automation, deployment pipelines & product support.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams across geographies (Poland & USA).
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups and sprint planning.
• Contribute code reviews ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
• Participate in our on‑call rotation, available at all times while on‑call to help respond to and triage any issues that arise.
