Starting Salary : $90,000 - $105,000 / year based on experience PLUS $2,000 Annual Education Stipend

Environment : Special Education Programs, Grades K-12

Regional Assignment : Northern / Central California - Clovis, San Jose, Pacifica, Fairfield, Redding

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs , a dynamic and growing organization, is seeking a Regional Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our award-winning Special Education team. As the Regional Behavior Analyst , you will play a crucial role in transforming the lives of students across multiple Spectrum School locations by delivering tailored clinical and educational interventions designed to meet each learner's unique needs. You'll mentor and guide your team through hands-on training and professional development, while continuously evaluating and enhancing their performance.

Your primary focus will be ensuring our programs meet legal requirements and reflect best practices, creating an environment where students thrive and achieve success.

Responsibilities Include :

  • Providing comprehensive training and guidance to educators on designing impactful Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of academic instruction and behavioral support services, ensuring exceptional outcomes for students.
  • Supporting staff by modeling and reinforcing instructional best practices that promote student growth aligned with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
  • Implementing evidence-based interventions using scientifically proven behavioral strategies to enhance academic, social, emotional, and functional success.
  • Providing crisis management intervention and support for students displaying aggressive or self-injurious behavior while reducing the need for 1 : 1 staffing.
  • Collaborating with on-site teams to collect and analyze data on student behavior and monitor progress effectively.
  • Conducting regular quality checks for each campus and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Delivering training on behavioral assessments, interventions, and crisis management to develop on-site teams.
  • Guiding and supervising staff pursuing BACB certification, as agreed with the Program Director or VP of Behavior Services.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing improvement plans for assigned campuses to enhance student and staff performance.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss behavioral needs and support strategies.
  • Ensuring all campuses adhere to Department of Education regulations and internal standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records of assessments, interventions, progress, and compliance activities.
  • Providing operational support focusing on academic achievement, behavioral support, and staff development.
  • Completing additional duties or special projects as assigned to support organizational goals.

Qualifications Required :

  • Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, special education, or a closely related field.
  • Currently licensed or in the process of obtaining BCBA certification.
  • Preferred : Valid state education specialist or special education instruction credential.
  • Valid CA state driver's license or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to maintain certification in company-approved crisis management training.
  • Strong understanding of ABA, PBIS, FBA, and BIP.
  • Experience in special education services, effective teaching strategies, and classroom management.
  • Proven skills in working with individuals with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Knowledgeable in crisis management systems and intervention procedures.
  • Experience with students on IEPs and implementing effective intervention plans.
  • Ability to engage students and conduct motivating conversations to achieve realistic goals.
  • Capable of making quick, calm decisions in emergencies.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in relevant technology and software applications.
