Local Raleigh Paving and Grading Contractor is looking for a self motivated field mechanic that specializes in diesel and construction equipment repairs and maintenance. Position includes a full size F650 service truck. Truck has 10,000lb crane, compressor, generator, welder... Etc., full size toolboxes. No CDL required for truck. Must have your own tools, but we have larger shop tools. We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience. Paving and grading/excavation equipment experience is a plus. Looking for an equipment mechanic but job will require light preventative maintenance and repairs on dump trucks and fleet service trucks i.e: Brakes, Oil Changes, Suspension, Minor Engine Repairs.

Individual must be organized and able to document repairs and maintenance. Must be able to keep up with maintenance schedules. Our crews work day shifts, (no night shifts) candidate must be available to run between jobs for breakdowns and performing services and replacing wear and tear items. Must have good diagnostic skills. Must be a team player and work with operations team to prioritize equipment repairs to meet schedule requirements.
