Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Locum Podiatrist Physician to provide comprehensive foot and ankle care in a busy outpatient clinic with inpatient consults in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. This role focuses primarily on clinic and inpatient care, with access to full nursing support and occasional inpatient responsibilities.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: ASAP

• End Date: April 25, 2026 (Possible Extension)

• Schedule: Monday-Friday

• Hours: 8 hours per day

• Patients per Day: Up to 35

• On Call: Limited / As needed

• Weekends: No scheduled weekend call

• Pay: Inquire for details

Practice Setting

• Outpatient clinic with inpatient consults

• Full clinic nursing staff support

• Focus on both inpatient and outpatient podiatric care

• Occasional weekend inpatient rounding if required

Scope of Practice / Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat foot and ankle conditions

• Perform inpatient and outpatient foot and ankle surgeries

• Conduct inpatient consults and ongoing patient management

• Prescribe orthotics and therapeutic treatments

• Treat conditions including arthritis, fractures, corns, calluses, and other podiatric disorders

• Manage full-spectrum foot and ankle pathology

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered podiatric care

Schedule Details

• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday

• No routine weekend call

• Occasional inpatient rounds on weekends if needed

• Doctoral Degree in Podiatric Medicine - Required

• Board Certified or Residency Trained (ACGME or AOA) - Required

• Active Oklahoma Medical License - Required

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience - Required

• Active DEA (any valid state) - Required

• Oklahoma CDS - Required

• BLS and ACLS - Required (AHA not required)

• No malpractice history, no remedial plans, no red flags - Required
