Ehs Manager

SBM Management is looking for an EHS Manager to join their team! The EHS Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing organization safety program to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. This position is almost exclusively focused on safety, with minimal oversight of health and environmental. This is a shop floor based highly interactive and visible position across multiple sites primarily in NJ and eastern PA with some sites in MD, DE and NYC.

Responsibilities :

• Plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with SBM's safety program, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
• Conduct training for managers and employees in work site safety practices, company safety program policy, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, materials, equipment, and PPE.
• Inspect and audit the sites within the mid-Atlantic market for potential accident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
• Lead the investigation of accidents and injuries and develop injury reduction plans to reduce incident frequency and severity.
• Lead the development of job safety analysis with line employee's involvement and train applicable staff.
• Represent the organization in customer meetings as needed in your market.
• Maintain safety files and records.
• This position requires frequent travel within the mid-Atlantic market by car daily, minimal overnight stays required.

Qualifications :

Compensation : $120,000 - 130,000 per year
