Nextest, a Division of Teradyne is looking for a highly motivated and talented Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team based in San Jose, California. We are a small, close-knit team working in an exciting, fast-paced, focused atmosphere. You can make a huge impact to this organization where what matters most is our success in bringing new products to market quickly.
- Collaborate on product build process with design engineering
- Develop and implement new assembly instructions procedures
- Assist in the development of Manufacturing Process Strategy for outsourced products
- Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews through New Product Introduction process
- Contribute to Manufacturing fixture design
- Create and Implement Engineering Change Notices to update BOMs and drawings
- Monitor and drive quality standards at suppliers and internally
- Develop and provide training to assembly personnel and contract manufacturers

- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
- Min 2 years of experience with electro-mechanical assemblies
- Hands on assembly experience is preferred
- Experience in SolidWorks and CAD applications
- Organized team player with a high sense of urgency
- Able to find creative ways to solve problems and recognize when an escalation is required
- Extremely motivated
- Flexible to work with global suppliers with multiple time zones
- Able to travel ~10%
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $80,800 - $129,200. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
