CT Technologist

The CT Technologist (CT Tech) is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic CT (Computed Tomography) scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. The CT Tech ensures patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and safety standards.
• Prepare and position patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images while ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Administer contrast media as needed, following proper protocols and assessing patients for potential reactions.
• Operate and adjust CT equipment to capture clear, accurate images for physician interpretation.
• Review images for quality assurance and collaborate with radiologists and physicians regarding findings.
• Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
• Follow infection control protocols and adhere to radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure risks.
• Provide clear communication to patients about procedures, addressing any concerns or questions.
• Work collaboratively with radiology staff, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
• Stay up to date with advancements in CT technology and best practices through continuing education.
