Job Description

Job purpose

Sonwil is a leading supplier of Logistics Services. FourSquare is our pilot project for largely automated warehousing and distribution. Within the facility a fleet of autonomous devices operate under the control of our software. We are looking for a motivated individual to work on the team leading this development effort.

This is a challenging environment where development and the pressures of a production environment intersect. This exciting opportunity uses technology that is just now making its way into the logistics industry. A great opportunity for someone interested in the deployment of automation technology.

Duties and responsibilities

Resource will have the unique opportunity to work in a challenging environment of new technology. This largely automated logistics hub uses a fleet of autonomous devices to move pallets of product in a large 3-dimensional storage solution.
Opportunity to work in pathing and control management software.
Opportunity to work with robotics.ac
Secondary opportunities exist to develop desktop, mobile, and services using the .Net framework as well as iOS applications.
Additional opportunity to work with on-board device computing and sensor platforms.
Relational and Transactional database development across many enterprise systems will be key to successful application development.
This is a daily on-site position in West Seneca, NY.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science OR equivalent experience.

Skilled with ASP.NET; VB.NET; Visual Studio 213+; MS SQL Server 2008+

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Skills in pathing and control logic helpful.

Knowledge of CODESYS development a great bonus.

Experience with the development of services appreciated.

Safety Requirements

Must be able to work in an office environment and as part of a development team.

This is a live operating environment. Safety training will be provided.

Physical requirements

Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
