Investment Banking Analyst

BTIG is seeking an Analyst to join its Investment Banking group in San Francisco. The Analyst will play a key role supporting new business development, transaction execution, and client management across Consumer, Energy & Shipping, Healthcare, TMT, M&A, Equity Capital Markets, and Debt Capital Markets. The program offers broad exposure to a variety of transactions, including public and private offerings, mergers & acquisitions, and complex debt financings.

Training & Development:

• Comprehensive, immersive technical training in financial modeling, valuation, and industry best practices
• Dedicated preparation for Series Exam licensing requirements, with study support and resources
• Ongoing mentorship from experienced bankers and exposure to firmwide training initiatives

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support senior bankers on a broad range of transactions, including IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements, debt financings, and mergers & acquisitions
• Prepare detailed client presentations and transaction materials
• Conduct financial analysis and build financial models for various industries and transaction types
• Assist in the development of marketing materials and pitch decks for clients and prospects
• Interact directly with clients during presentations and transaction execution
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and contribute effectively as part of a high-performing team

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline, with a minimum GPA of 3.5
• Summer internship at a top-tier investment bank, financial advisory firm, or accounting firm is strongly preferred
• Exceptional analytical, modeling, and interpersonal skills
• Superior verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to excel in fast-paced environments and manage multiple simultaneous project deadlines
• Strong work ethic, high level of attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
