Manufacturing Engineer

1 opening : 12 Months : Active Clearance : $50-$100

Required experience :

• Manufacturing assembly work instruction authoring
• Aircraft sub-systems assembly and integration
• Aircraft structures assembly
• Hands-on production / shop floor support (Direct ownership and support of specific operations as well as interface with touch-labor employees)
• Reviews of engineering technical drawings and models

Desired experience :

Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and author manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Leverages understanding of materials and processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Works within a model based engineering environment (3DX). Position requires periodic travel.

Must have extensive experience in aerospace manufacturing operations. Must have the personal attributes conducive to work within an IPT (Integrated Product Team). Must have the ability, technical background and confidence to work independently and make critical program decisions. Preferred experience with complete integrated air vehicle designs.
