Description

The City of West Allis is seeking a Content and Multimedia Creator to serve as our lead storyteller and creative voice. In this role, you'll act as the City's in-house graphic designer + reporter, discovering stories, creating engaging content, and bringing our community's experiences to life. The Content and Multimedia Creator will develop written, visual, and multimedia content including graphics, photography, videography, and digital / print materials to support campaigns, social media, the City website, and broader engagement efforts. Adobe suite proficiency required. Motion design / animation & illustration experience preferred. West Allis residents receive an additional 5% on top of the hourly pay range.

Examples of Duties

Produce engaging and relevant content, including website content, interviews, graphics, print materials, photos and videos, to showcase our municipal services, values, and culture across various platforms.

Develop visually appealing marketing and engagement assets including organic and paid social graphics, departmental collateral, PowerPoint presentations, and other outreach materials.

Develop visually appealing and shareable content, including images and graphics, to enhance online presence and engagement.

Coordinate and conduct interviews with key personnel, residents, SMEs and partners to gather insights and create impactful content.

Plan, script, record, and edit videos to be used for social media, website, marketing, training, and promotional purposes.

Pursue content capturing in the field, out in the community, and by actively engaging with stakeholders and partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any field.

2-3 years of experience in a professional marketing environment, either on an in-house team or at an agency (agency experience preferred).
