Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support Regional Network Deployment & Scaling (RNDS) for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) . This role focuses on deploying, scaling, and maintaining large-scale data center and backbone network infrastructure across global OCI regions.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with data center networking , automation , and cloud-scale network operations .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24x7 follow-the-sun support for OCI Regional Network Deployment & Scaling.
- Deploy greenfield network infrastructure and enable connectivity for new OCI regions and child sites.
- Support brownfield scaling , including :
- CFAB rack adds
- Compute expansions
- Server rack adds and decommissions
- Build and manage data center fabrics , edge , backbone , and metro fiber networks .
- Execute region builds , DRCC / Alloy expansions , multi-cloud integrations , and Butterfly turn-ups .
- Operate in a CI / CD pipeline environment using GitHub and OCI internal tools.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python preferred) to reduce manual deployment efforts.
- Work with routing and networking protocols including :
- BGP, OSPF, VXLAN
- TCP / IP, IPv4, IPv6
- DNS, DHCP
- IPSEC, VPN, SSL
- Configure and troubleshoot Arista, Cisco , and other enterprise network hardware.
- Manage and execute Jira tickets related to network infrastructure and RNS projects.
- Provide weekend and on-call support as required.
