SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Admissions Coordinator is the primary contact with enrollment prospects and applicants when they first express interest in our school. The Admissions Coordinator will establish exceptional client relationships with prospective SCS families and will be proactive in identifying ways to nurture their interest in enrolling their children. This individual must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with families via phone, email, and face-to-face conversations to ensure that they receive an excellent first impression of SCS. The Admissions Coordinator's role requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, a professional approach to all communications, and the ability to plan and execute events in support of our efforts to grow our enrollment.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Serve as the first SCS contact for enrollment inquiries
Consistently provide a welcoming voice to all prospective parents interested in learning more about SCS
Guide prospective families through the enrollment processSchedule and conduct private tours for interested familiesConnect prospects with current SCS parentsIntroduce prospects to key employees who work in the areas of interest to the prospective familyMaintain consistent contact with families as they move through the enrollment processSupport enrollment colleagues with cross-functional responsibilities during seasons of high demandCoordinate interdepartmental referrals on behalf of prospectsOther duties as assigned by supervisorScheduling and coordinating student shadow visitsManage the scheduling of shadow visits for ES, MS, and HS students
Arrange for a compatible member of our student body to represent SCS during the shadow experienceArrange for the prospective student to meet key members of our faculty, administration, and coaching staff based upon the areas of interest to the studentFollow up with prospective parents and students after their shadowing visit to determine likelihood of moving to the application phaseCoordinate with faculty to ensure that each guest student receives a personalized thank you noteData entry and management of record keeping on prospect inquiriesMaintain the database of information related to contact with prospects
Log dates and times of all phone contacts, visits, and email communicationRecord information on conversations with prospects as well as feedback from others in the SCS family who have contact with the prospectsTrack the status of all applicants as they move through the enrollment processDocument outside departmental outreach to prospects / applicantsCollaborate on enrollment process development and workflow designEvent planning and administration of eventsDemonstrate initiative and detail orientation in planning and managing events related to recruitment of students
Oversee the scheduling of parent and student ambassadors to serve at enrollment eventsCoordinate follow-up by parent ambassadors to event guests and appreciation toward ambassadors for their roleOrganize promotional materials for distribution at events, and communicate print needs in advance to ensure adequate supply needs are metRepresent SCS at external school fairs and marketing eventsHost some evening events to provide flexible options for prospective and current familiesQUALIFIED APPLICANTS :

Walk throughout the buildings and stairwells easily, and walk outside as drills requireStoop, bend, and maneuver in office environment spaces as neededLift up to 15 lbs.Sit in an office environment operating a PC keyboard and viewing the screenCommunicate clearly in English - in oral and written formPass a pre-employment criminal background check.
