Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Hematology / Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 13-week locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins Jan 2, 2026, with shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30, primarily Monday through Friday, totaling 13 shifts per month. The assignment is based in an ambulatory breast medical oncology department, focusing on cancer and tumor care.

Responsibilities and Duties
Assess, diagnose, and manage care for patients with cancer and other benign or malignant tumors and diseasesPromote health and protection from disease within the scope of practicePerform history and physical exams, including pelvic exams when appropriateOrder and interpret diagnostic testing and therapeutic modalities specific to specialty training and experienceImplement therapeutic interventions for identified conditionsPerform arterial punctures and blood gas samplingProvide debridement and general care for superficial wounds and minor surgical proceduresPerform incision and drainage of superficial abscessesInsert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubesComplete death certificate protocolsRemove central venous cathetersDemonstrate competence in administering chemotherapy / biotherapy, with at least 10 administrations in the past 12 monthsAdditional Information
Must hold a current NY licenseRequired certifications : Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGPCNP-BC), Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANP-BC), or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)Additional required certifications : Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)Orientation begins Jan 2, 2026; clinical work begins Jan 5, 2026Benefits
