Program Lead- Camp Kids

JOB SUMMARY :

The Program Lead is expected to lead and coordinate camp activities for children ages 512 in a safe inclusive environment. Mentor staff create engaging programs and ensure camper well-being. Serve as the main contact for parents and staff to deliver a positive camp experience.

The position will start in January 2026 . Pre-summer training will take place between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm.

Hours and Pay

• JanuaryApril : 1015 hrs / week; MayAugust : 3040 hrs / week; $17.50 / hr.
• Hours available as needed

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED :

The Program Lead is expected to work independently within District policies.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS :

Knowledge of recreational activities appropriate for school-age children. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers children parents and volunteers. Leadership and organizational skills. Ability to use independent judgment and take appropriate action to ensure childrens and staffs safety. Flexibility patience and a team-oriented mindset.

Ability to deal with emergencies and stressful situations.

This is an entry-level position. A valid work permit may be for applicants under the age of 18.

Previous experience working with children (volunteer work babysitting playing sports coaching etc.) is preferred ( but not )

State law requires all selected applicants 18 and over to be fingerprinted and pass a pre-employment background check. A TB test clearance is for all selected applicants. Reliable transportation to and from work.
