Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to contribute to our data infrastructure and pipeline development. This role is ideal for a professional with solid SQL Server experience who is ready to take on more complex projects and begin developing leadership skills. The successful candidate will work independently on data engineering tasks while collaborating closely with senior team members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
- Design and develop robust data pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and related tools
- Build and maintain complex database schemas, stored procedures, functions, and views in SQL Server
- Implement data quality frameworks and validation processes to ensure data integrity
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and system monitoring
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements
- Develop and maintain ETL / ELT processes for both batch and incremental data loads
- Monitor data pipeline performance and proactively address issues
- Document technical processes, data flows, and system configurations
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical standards and best practices
- Support junior engineers through knowledge sharing and informal mentoring
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and pipeline failures
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field3-5 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server (T-SQL, SSMS, SSIS)Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functionsSolid understanding of design principles, normalization, and performance optimizationExperience with ETL / ELT development and data integration patternsKnowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling techniquesExperience with version control (Git) and collaborative development practicesProgramming experience in Python for data processing tasksExperience with the Databricks platform a plus
