Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, relay, and/or transmit routine and emergency calls to police, fire, and other public agencies.
- Maintain log of radio transmissions, telephone calls, and other information.
- Maintain incident reports of criminal activity or complaints; assist in ticket administration.
- Monitor fire alarm system.
- Issue parking decals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of radio 10-codes and appropriate radio communication guidelines
- Knowledge of law enforcement jargon
- Knowledge of AUM Police Department procedures and policies
- Ability to operate communications equipment
- Ability to write and maintain reports
- Ability to communicate with other public agencies
- Ability to respond to multiple competing demands
- Ability to speak clearly and provide clear and concise instructions to others
